Tuberculosis in Goats
You may have heard via the media that an outbreak of TB has been discovered in goats. The source of the outbreak appears to be a Golden Guernsey herd in North Carmarthenshire. Carmarthenshire is unfortunately a hot spot for bovine TB and the herd in question was already being dispersed by the owner. DEFRA and the Welsh Assembly Government have been tracing the goats that had been sold on and contacts are being appropriately dealt with.

We strongly advise that every member reads the information provided on the BGS website which is the most up to date. The BGS website address is www.allgoats.org.uk - click on Goat Health to find relevant notices.

Renowned the world over for their hardness and weather resistance, the name Rockies means quality and cost effectiveness.

All animals need salt. Rockies provide not only salt, but also trace elements, sometimes minerals and vitamins, for different classes of stock on every type of diet; from all forage to high concentrate, there’s a Rockie in the range to suit your stock and farm.
